Position: String Instrument Instructor at Selkirk College

This short-term role within the School of Arts & Technology requires a Bachelor of Music and prior teaching experience. Your primary responsibilities will include tailoring lessons to individual needs and fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Engage students in technique, repertoire, and musicianship skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored violin and cello lessons to individual students

• Teach relevant techniques including articulation and rhythmic accuracy

• Guide students in selecting appropriate repertoire

• Support the development of sight reading and music interpretation

• Conduct regular assessments and feedback sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Music or equivalent professional experience

• Three-plus years of professional violin or cello performance

• Minimum three years of private lesson teaching experience

• Proficient in contemporary performing styles

• Excellent interpersonal skills for motivating students
