The Inclusion Support Teacher provides essential assistance to classroom educators to accommodate diverse learners within classroom environments. Positioning focuses on early grades (K-3), the IST will work alongside school teams to implement strategies that support students' educational needs, including literacy and social-emotional learning. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and specialists is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with Universal Design for Learning

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans

• Promote early literacy skills in students

• Evaluate student behavior and academic progress

• Assist with culturally aligned behavior intervention strategies

Requirements:

• BC Teacher certification required

• Master’s Degree or diploma in Special Education

• At least 5 years of teaching experience

• Completed Level B assessment courses

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
