Educational Assistant Rural

Support students and teachers as an Educational Assistant in Nelson Rural, offering 30 hours per week. Engage with exceptional students and facilitate their learning in various environments.

This permanent role entails assisting teachers with classroom duties and addressing the physical needs of exceptional students. You will work under the supervision of a teacher, providing support in classrooms and other learning settings. Duties include tutoring, preparing teaching aids, maintaining records, and assisting students in transportation and personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom and learning environment activities

• Support exceptional students' physical and academic needs

• Tutoring individuals and groups to enhance learning

• Maintain accurate records of student progress

• Help students with daily transportation and personal hygiene

Requirements:

• High school graduation with relevant training

• Experience working with children or similar environments

• Ability to assist with special needs requirements

• Competence in written and spoken English
