As a vital part of The Salvation Army's mission, the Community Ministry Worker coordinates food service operations, ensuring adherence to the Canada Food Guide and health regulations. This position also involves engaging with donors, assisting with food recovery, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in food recovery and distribution of donations
• Conduct janitorial duties for cleanliness
• Drive to pick up and drop off food donations
• Monitor equipment and log fridge temperatures
• Provide information and direct guests to services
Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School Diploma
• Minimum of two years related experience
• Safe Food Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army
