This permanent role consists of 7 hours per week, primarily at our main office, with additional hours available during the school year through the VIP (Violence Is Preventable) Program. You will provide individual and group counselling, assessments, and emotional support for parents impacted by domestic violence. Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet program needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individual and group counselling to children and youth
• Conduct assessments related to domestic violence experiences
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for families
• Work collaboratively in local school settings
• Implement and adapt strategies for program delivery
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in human/social service field
• Minimum three years counselling experience with children
• Valid First Aid certificate required
• Willingness to join BCGEU
• Flexibility in scheduling as needed
