* * Current certification/registration as a Credentialed Medical Assistant.

* Actively engages patient and family and assists in the education of the patient's plan of care.
* Accurately completes pre-operative functions such as: pre-op testing scheduling and physician reviews, reviewing medications and surgery prep with patient, scheduling surgery, communicating with appropriate representatives, pre-certifications, completing necessary forms for CME, addressing abnormal lab results with physician, reviewing compliance calculator to prepare physician and mid-level for dictating inpatient stays.
* Ensure patient needs are met safely, equitably and reliably with sincere behavior.
