Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Tele CWR
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments. Responsibilities also include performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and documenting care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
The RN advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Patient-centric care is provided in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Med Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.
- Strong Med Surg/Tele background.
- Required
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Required Certifications & Licensure:
- NIHSS
- Telemetry
- BLS-AHA
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
