Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology CWR is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating individualized care plans, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and advocating for evidence-based practices.
The RN provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models and may perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, inpatient setting.
- IV skills, telemetry, chemotherapy administration, and oncology experience.
- Empathy and compassion.
- ASN degree.
- BLS - AHA certification.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree.
- Telemetry certification.
- Chemo Certification with ONS.
