Scouting Jan Campert is looking for leadership

The Jan Campertgroep (also known from the Timmerdorp Maarssen) is a lively and pleasant scouting group with 180 members and is looking for reinforcements.

For the cub parts (Friday evening cubs and Saturday cubs) we are looking for enthusiastic leadership. Do you like weekly outdoor adventures with our cubs (girls and boys aged 7 to 11)? Are you looking for a challenge where you can make a meaningful contribution to the development of children? Want to build something with other volunteers in your own neighbourhood?

And are you available for this a few hours a week? Then we are looking for you!

Activity: Sports and Games

Day(s) and half-days:

• Friday: Evening.
• Saturday: Afternoon

Working hours, frequency and duration:

Weekly and of course very much for a longer period of time.

Skills:

The most important thing is that you lead the cubs together with other experienced Scout leaders. For this you have to have an affinity with children. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get dirty and who likes to romp with our cubs. The rest will come naturally.

General:

We especially offer you a very pleasant activity with children. In addition, you will have a lot of fun with your team and you will learn a lot of new things in the field of organizing meetings and camps, logistics, games, equipment and maintenance and communication.

A summer camp is normally the highlight of the year, but will probably not be able to take place for the time being due to the corona measures.

Induction method and guidance:

You will first spend a few months with an experienced management team. After this you choose whether you want to join the leadership team for a longer period of time.

Schooling:

There are various courses and training courses from Scouting Netherlands. When you join the leadership team, you do a training to get your 'recognition', a kind of initial competency course. After that, you can further improve your skills in various ways.

Expenses:

The association reimburses the necessary education/training.
