Naval Architecture
Responsibilities
Ensure technical quality and feasibility of superyacht and shipbuilding designs
Support naval architecture-related issues, including on-site presence
Review, coordinate, and verify naval architecture calculations and technical packages
Align external technical packages with shipyard standards and project requirements
Interpret flag state regulations, international codes, and class requirements, translating them into practical solutions
Communicate and coordinate with classification societies and flag administrations
Participate in surveys, approvals, and regulatory processes throughout the project lifecycle
Take ownership of the weight monitoring process
Provide technical input for dock plans, launching operations, and transport logistics
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Naval Engineering
3+ years of experience in yacht or shipbuilding
EU citizenship and passport required
Knowledge of superyacht regulations (80m+), international codes, and classification standards is a plus
Experience with large yachts and/or commercial vessels is an advantage
Solid understanding of yacht production and shipyard operations
Strong technical judgement and attention to detail
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
Analytical, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Team player with flexibility and a positive attitude
CONDITIONS
Competitive salary depending on experience and role (gross €58,500 – €65,000 per year)
Assistance with relocation, including registration, legal/fiscal matters, and housing advice
30% tax ruling for the first five years (if applicable)
Holiday allowance paid Compensation for commuting costs (car, public transport, or bike)
