We are looking for a Project Intralogistics Lead .
As an Automated Intralogistics Project Lead, you will be part of the Engineering and Operations organization, playing a key role in the development and implementation of advanced warehouse automation and internal material handling solutions within strategic factory projects.
You will be responsible for leading projects related to automated storage systems, intralogistics flows, and smart material transfer technologies across the production environment. Your focus will be on designing and implementing future‑ready solutions that improve operational efficiency, material traceability, safety, and production continuity.
In this role, you will coordinate all project phases from concept development and system design through supplier selection, installation, commissioning, validation, and handover to operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, automation suppliers, integrators, and production teams to ensure successful project execution and seamless system integration.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of highly automated and intelligent factory environments using state‑of‑the‑art technologies such as ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles), AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots), and advanced warehouse management solutions.
As Project Intralogistics Lead, your responsibilities include:
Taking a leading role in intralogistics and warehouse automation activities within project teams
Managing projects related to automated rack systems, warehouse automation, and factory material flow optimization
Driving the design, development, and implementation of ASRS, AGV, and AMR solutions
Defining material flow concepts, storage strategies, and logistics workflows for new production facilities
Coordinating internal and external stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Automation, IT, Procurement, and Safety teams
Supporting supplier selection, technical evaluations, and system integration activities
Ensuring proper integration between automation systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and production operations
Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, validation, and start‑up activities
Monitoring project scope, planning, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Identifying technical and operational risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Ensuring compliance with safety standards, factory regulations, and company engineering standards
Driving continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse automation and material handling processes
Supporting the development of scalable and future‑proof intralogistics concepts
What we expect from a Project Intralogistics Lead:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, Logistics, or related fields)
Minimum 6–10 years of experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or material handling projects within industrial or manufacturing environments
Proven experience with automated warehouse systems such as ASRS, shuttle systems, high‑bay warehouses, or automated rack solutions
Hands‑on experience with AGV and/or AMR technologies and factory material transfer systems
Experience leading capital projects from concept design through implementation and operational start‑up
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, internal logistics flows, and production supply concepts
Familiarity with automation integration, controls, sensors, and smart factory technologies
Experience working with WMS, MES, ERP, and SAP systems is considered a strong advantage
Knowledge of industrial safety standards related to automated logistics systems and autonomous transport technologies
Experience working with external suppliers, system integrators, and contractors
Strong analytical, structured, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross‑functional project activities
