Process Engineering Manager

Location: Almere Stad

Process Engineering Manager
Full‑time, 40 hours per week.

As a Process Engineering Manager, you will be part of the Engineering and Operations organization, taking a key role within multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic projects. You will contribute to the definition, optimisation, and implementation of process solutions for new production lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and full compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead process‑related activities within project teams

Drive process design, development, and optimisation for new production lines

Manage process‑related project scope, timelines, and deliverables

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, Procurement)

Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and local legislation

Define process parameters, workflows, and performance metrics

Support equipment selection and ensure proper process integration

Oversee installation, commissioning, validation, and start‑up activities

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields)

Minimum 6–10 years of experience in process engineering within manufacturing or industrial environments

Proven experience in capital projects from design through implementation and start‑up phases

Strong knowledge of production processes, optimisation, and industrial equipment

Experience in FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is an advantage

Experience with aseptic and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is highly desirable

Experience with powder processing technologies (handling, dosing, mixing, conveying, packaging) is a strong advantage

Familiarity with hygienic design principles, cleanroom requirements, and contamination control

Solid understanding of utilities and their integration into production processes

Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards and regulations

Financial awareness with experience in budget tracking, cost control, and basic finance principles

Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers/contractors

Familiarity with SAP and project management tools is a plus

Strong analytical, structured, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities within complex projects

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority

Fluency in English (written and spoken)
