Associate Rack Engineer

Location: 's-Hertogenbosch

Job Summary
As a member of Rack Solution Team at Supermicro, this candidate will be responsible for testing and validating hardware, network, storage and server components; to create solutions meeting or exceeding the market requirements for both OEM and end-user customers; to discover and resolve hardware and HW/SW issues collaboratively. We hope you will be a fast-learner, team player and with excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform system level, and other cluster / rack level testing

Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing

Report hardware and software quality issues and work with other teams to solve the issues

Document and analyze test data and test logs, write test report

Maintain and improve validation test plans and test cases

Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation

Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

Qualifications

BS / MS in EE, CS, CE, or equivalent with 1 years of working experience in networking or server industry is strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of computer architecture

Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking setup

Programming experience with windows and Linux shell scripting

Strong sense of team work and good team player, strong communication skills

Familiar with various OS, windows office tools

Experience with Network / Hardware test is a plus

Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus
