Your (space) mission
As the Maintenance Engineer Space Technology at cosine, you ensure the reliability of the advanced equipment that enables the development and production of cutting‑edge space instrumentation. You maintain a unique combination of cleanroom systems, precision manufacturing equipment, and highly specialized laboratory machinery that cannot simply be replaced off the shelf.

Tasks & Responsibilities
In this role you will:

Execute, optimize, and continuously improve preventive maintenance plans for cleanroom systems, laboratory equipment, and precision manufacturing machinery

Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability

Maintain and improve critical equipment that supports the development and production of advanced space instrumentation

Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, external suppliers, and maintenance records to ensure operational continuity

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards and contribute to a safe and reliable working environment

Your profile
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline

Experience maintaining technical equipment in a production, laboratory, or other high‑tech environment

Experience working with maintenance or asset management systems

VCA‑VOL certification or an equivalent safety qualification

Certified for electrical work, or willing to obtain the required certification

Fluent in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and operational teams
