We are looking for a Senior Manager Process Optimization & Food Innovation to lead a team focused on developing and testing advanced process solutions for industries such as Food, Environment, Chemical, and Mining & Minerals. In this role, you will help shape sustainable processes that meet the growing global demand.
Role Overview As the Head of this center, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing pilot tests and application trials. You will guide your team to deliver practical, high-impact solutions, stay on top of industry trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies that expand innovative process capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and process specialists.
Support customers and internal teams with process development, both on-site and in the pilot plant.
Translate pilot results into actionable improvements in customer operations.
Serve as a technical ambassador at industry events and client meetings.
Ensure projects meet timelines, quality standards, and performance expectations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop tailored process solutions.
Who We Are Looking For Proven leadership experience in the food or protein production sector (5+ years preferred).
Background in process engineering or food technology (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
Experience in protein processing is a plus.
Based in the Netherlands.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Hands-on, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, German, or French is an advantage.
Role Overview (Second Position) We are looking for an experienced technical leader to take overall responsibility for a site specializing in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of systems for environmentally relevant applications, such as recycling appliances, batteries, and other industrial processes. The role combines strategic oversight, technical expertise, and hands-on operational management.
Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (mechanical, electrical, automation, workshop) while overseeing all on-site technical, production, and development activities.
Serve as the main liaison with corporate departments and provide hands-on technical support to sales and customers.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout all project phases.
Ensure compliance with regulations (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, Cenelec, WEEELABEX) while achieving project schedules, quality, and cost targets.
Drive continuous technical improvements, expand the product portfolio, and manage documentation, reporting, and external representation with stakeholders.
Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering (HBO/FH preferred)
Knowledge of refrigeration or industrial processing technology is an advantage
Experience in a similar role within machinery or plant engineering
Solid understanding of technical, administrative, and financial processes
Experience in international project environments and technical sales
Excellent command of English and German (Dutch is an asset)
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, WEEELABEX, Cenelec)
Willingness to travel internationally
