VBH is looking for a detail-driven, proactive and experienced Supply Chain specialist to strengthen our purchasing & Logistics and play a key role in our international projects.

What you’ll do
As a Supply Chain specialist, you're a driving force in making sure everything we need – from niche tech components to custom solutions – arrives on time, within budget, and with the right quality.

You’ll be:

Be a member off complex and high-impact projects, be pro-active in monitoring supply chains and solving delivery hiccups to prevent rather (and solve) issues Negotiating conditions with (inter) national suppliers and ensuring the best deals

Setting up and evaluating (framework) agreements and KPIs

Collaborating with project teams and keeping them up-to-date with clear reporting

Exploring the market for trends, innovations, and game-changing suppliers and work with colleagues on your insights on suppliers, alternatives and improvements

Work on improvements in our Supply Chain, whether it is make or Buy, Evaluating and selecting the most suitable transport mode

Able to work independently on New Product Introductions, from component, to production, certified product and able to set-up the chain for new products, from the initial phase to a stable, well-established process

Responsible for assessing the need for holding inventory, balancing cost efficiency, supply reliability, and demand variability.

Conducting in-depth analysis of the end-to-end supply chain to identify bottlenecks, optimize processes, and improve overall performance

Acting as a trusted partner for both internal teams and external stakeholders

Where will you work?
Your home base is our HQ in Weesp (Greater Amsterdam), but you’ll be working in global teams – from project managers and engineers to partners & suppliers across the world. You'll attend partner & supplier meetings or occasionally visit shipyards.

What do you take home?

A gross monthly salary between €3.356 and €5.218 (based on 40 hours and your experience)

Travel allowance of €0.23/km

What you bring on board

Experience in supply chain (bonus points for project-based environments)

Strong communication skills (Dutch and English – spoken and written)

A proactive mindset – you don’t wait, you act

A sharp eye for detail and a natural drive to get things right

Confidence to take ownership and collaborate across departments

Capable of working autonomously while also being a strong team player

Curiosity to learn, improve, and keep challenging the status quo
