Galileo operations engineer

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

This position is part of an operations team responsible for monitoring Galileo services, with special focus on performance and availability. The selected candidate will actively contribute to incident analysis, performance monitoring, and continuous system improvement, as well as to the definition and validation of prototypes aimed at enhancing operational capabilities. The role requires strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in demanding and collaborative technical environments.

• Monitor Galileo services and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability through real-time monitoring and incident management.
• Operate and maintain platform systems, including infrastructure, databases and remote stations, ensuring stable and efficient service operations.
• Develop and maintain operational tools and scripts (e.g., Python, Grafana) to improve monitoring, automation and system efficiency.
• Support system test campaigns, operational activities and ad-hoc tasks requested by the client.
• Produce monitoring reports while collaborating with Galileo operational entities and contributing to continuous improvement of procedures and processes.

For this role, we are looking for engineers with an interest in the space sector and expertise in:

• Programming/scripting skills (Python)
• Familiarity with databases and data analysis
• GNSS systems and algorithms
