Champi-Mer - Operator

As a Machine Operator at Champi-mer, you are responsible for operating the automated packaging line for frozen mushrooms, packed in bags ranging from 500g to 10kg. The process starts with tilting bulk boxes into the buffer. From there, the product moves via conveyor belts to the multi-head weigher and is then packaged using the vertical flow packer. The bags are automatically placed into boxes, labeled, and then stacked onto pallets by a robot.

You will operate the line independently and ensure the production orders are completed according to the schedule and guidelines. You closely monitor the settings of all (control) equipment to achieve maximum output within the set criteria. A forklift driver assigned to your line ensures the supply and removal of products, and you work together efficiently.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Efficiently changing packaging materials and adjusting machine settings;
• Performing general maintenance, including cleaning machines, resolving minor malfunctions, and carrying out small repairs;
• Sampling for analysis and ensuring hygiene, order, and cleanliness around the packaging line;
• Identifying complaints, undesirable situations, and improvement opportunities and communicating them to the direct supervisor;
• Adhering to food safety standards to maintain quality standards.

You will work closely with the machine operators and forklift drivers in your team and report to the team leader. Flexibility is required, as you may sometimes assist in preparing packaging materials, handling supply and removal tasks, and performing other related activities.

You are proactive and have perseverance. It is your personal challenge to ensure the production process runs as smoothly as possible, and you have an affinity for technology and the food industry. You have a positive attitude and take initiative. Working in a team suits you, but you can also work well independently. Additionally, you don’t mind working in a three-shift system.

Our shifts are:

• 05:00 AM to 01:00 PM
• 01:00 PM to 09:00 PM
• 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM

• You have technical insight;
• Experience as an operator in the food industry;
• You have a strong sense of quality and responsibility;
• You have a good command of the English language;
• You are precise, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.
