Working as an integral member of the Stakeholder Management and Communications (SOMCOM) team for the offshore wind energy grid connection project Doordewind, this role supports senior strategic environmental and communications managers by executing operational and tactical communication strategies. The position focuses on managing stakeholder participation processes, executing communication activities, and maintaining community engagement across the Northern Netherlands region.

• Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the SOMCOM team to develop, maintain, and execute annual stakeholder communication plans.
• Channel & Content Management: Draft communication plans and deploy content across digital channels, including website CMS updates, social media, and project newsletters.
• Event & Meeting Facilitation: Prepare, organize, and facilitate physical, digital, and hybrid stakeholder discussions, public meetings, and project events.
• Media & Issue Monitoring: Track local news, social media, and current events to align project communication efforts with regional sentiment.
• Stakeholder & CRM Management: Maintain stakeholder organizations, contacts, and touchpoints in CRM systems (SOM Solutions), register stakeholder input in Relatics, and perform document management in SharePoint.
• Regional & Team Coordination: Coordinate messaging with internal colleagues operating in the same region and act as operational communications cover during team absences.

• Education & Experience: Completed HBO or WO degree in Communications or a related field, accompanied by several years of experience in stakeholder communication or major infrastructure projects.
• Regional Connection: Strong affinity with or connection to the Northern Netherlands region.

  • Experience utilizing CRM and stakeholder registration systems.
  • AI literacy with the ability to safely and effectively apply AI tools in everyday workflows.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent professional command of both Dutch and English (CV and personal motivation letter must be submitted in Dutch).
• Travel & Work Capabilities: Willingness to travel extensively across regional offices, project sites, and stakeholder meetings in Northern Netherlands, with a mandatory fixed weekly presence at the Arnhem office on Mondays (hybrid working allowed on remaining days).
• Screening: Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment Screening (PES) and provide a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) prior to the start date.
