R&DScientist in Electrochemistry and Complexation Chemistry
At Veco, you will play a crucial role in understanding and developing processes. Drawing on a fundamental understanding of complexation chemistry combined with electrochemical process conditions, you will be able to predict, explain, and control aging and interaction processes in a way that allows us to guarantee unique material structures and properties for our customers through stable production processes. In doing so, you will enable us to innovate faster and more effectively.
Responsibilities- Spend about 75% of your time in the lab, working partly in the lab and partly in the office.
- Draft a plan, conduct literature reviews, and perform tests on various scales depending on the development phase.
- Remain closely involved in the industrialisation process after the R&D phase, transferring knowledge to Product Developers and Process Engineers.
- Contribute ideas on next steps and be available to answer technical questions.
- Stay up to date on market developments by attending conferences and networking with suppliers and academia.
- Provide the technical input for our long‑term objectives and largely determine the course we will take in the future.
- Experience in a similar R&D role and knowledge of electrochemistry and/or complexation chemistry.
- Strong communication skills with both the shop floor and the management team (both in Dutch and English, spoken and written).
- A degree from a technical university in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Inorganic Chemistry.
- Availability for at least 32hours per week.
- Residence in the Eerbeek, Zutphen, Zwolle, Enschede, Almelo, Deventer, Amersfoort, Arnhem, or Nijmegen area.
