Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineer
We are Senbiosys, also known as Velia after our first product, the Velia smart ring. A fast-growing Neuchâtel-based technology and product company dedicated to creating innovative solutions that empower people to live healthier and more connected lives. Our vision is to combine cutting-edge science with thoughtful design, delivering products and experiences that enhance well-being and longevity. We value curiosity, excellence and teamwork, and we are building a culture that thrives on innovation and trust.
Personal health and wellness tracking is a dynamic and growing market. People want to understand their bodies better, using insights from signals such as heart rate and blood oxygen to build healthier habits and stay motivated. The challenge is to integrate sensors that measure these signals more accurately, without placing an excessive burden on the battery.
That challenge is at the heart of what we do. We have developed a new, patented generation of photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors that use CMOS image sensor technology to build monolithic PPG sensors. They capture a high-quality signal with far less power, in a fraction of the space of conventional approaches. In the Velia ring, our patent pending 360° sensor constellation, with 108 optical paths, tracks signals such as sleep, breathing and heart rhythm, and the app turns them into meaningful guidance instead of constant alerts.
Every microamp matters in a ring. Our sensors make measurement efficient; the next challenge is turning that efficiency into outstanding battery life. That's where you come in.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Battery & Electronics Engineer to join our Electronics Engineering team in Neuchatel. This role will be responsible for defining, developing, validating, and optimising lithium-ion battery systems for consumer electronics and wearable products.
