We are looking for a Manager, Procurement Planner for a pharmaceutical laboratory.
Manager, Procurement Planner - Temporary contract
Primary responsibilities :- Develop and manage procurement plans for materials associated with different product portfolios.
- Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing sites in order to balance customer service objectives with operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by ensuring that purchase orders for the active substance, drug product and finished product are updated as requested.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with global and local supply chain teams, as well as market stakeholders, to ensure continuity of supply and anticipate potential risks.
- Participate in supply chain meetings to ensure alignment with customer needs and consumption plans.
- Use ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for demand management, material requirement planning (MRP), and the proper execution of planning processes.
- Monitor variations in demand, communicate with stakeholders to adjust production plans and integrate these changes into site production schedules.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory risks, including stock shortages, overages and obsolescence risks.
- Identify and resolve supply constraints in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage inventory risks related to regulatory or design/packaging changes.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as backorders, inventory compliance, and order accuracy.
- Develop procurement plans and coordinate with internal/external sites to ensure product availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory and purchase orders for raw materials, pharmaceuticals and finished products.
- Monitor demand, adjust production plans and anticipate inventory risks (breaks, surplus, obsolescence).
- Collaborate with global and local Supply Chain teams to ensure continuity of supply.
- Contribute to inventory forecasts, budget and root cause analysis in case of supply issues.
- Participate in monthly/quarterly stock reviews and report any risk or disruption.
- Participate in Supply Chain optimization projects and support for new products, tenders, and clinical needs.
- Ensure the accuracy of the master data in collaboration with the concerned teams.
- Use Excel, SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Kinaxis and other tools to track KPIs, analyze data and improve planning.
- Contribute to the digitalization and automation of processes to strengthen efficiency and precision.
- Demonstrate adaptability in learning new digital tools and forecasting systems.
- Master planning flows, ERP transactions and operational processes, with a good understanding of the concepts of AI/ML applied to optimization.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the supply chain, ideally in a global industrial or pharmaceutical environment.
- Good knowledge of Supply Chain operations and planning flows.
- Mastery of ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and negotiation.
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, EMA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
