Head of Global Quality | Semiconductor Industry

A leading international semiconductor manufacturer is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Global Quality to lead its global quality organization and drive quality excellence across product development, manufacturing, laboratories, suppliers, customers, and worldwide operations.

This is a strategic leadership position offering the opportunity to influence business performance, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and long-term growth within a highly innovative technology environment serving demanding global markets, including automotive and industrial applications.

As Head of Global Quality, you will define and execute the company's global quality strategy while ensuring the highest standards across the entire product lifecycle.

Working closely with executive leadership, engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams, you will drive quality culture, governance, compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across international sites.

This role combines strategic leadership with operational impact and requires a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, automotive quality standards, and global quality management systems.

• Define and deploy the global quality vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Align quality objectives with business priorities and growth targets
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
• Lead quality transformation initiatives across international operations
• Act as a key advisor to executive management on quality-related matters

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and other applicable standards
• Drive continuous improvement of quality management systems, governance processes, and business procedures
• Lead certification programs, management reviews, and quality audits
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and regulatory expectations

• Oversee quality performance throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Strengthen product quality, customer quality, supplier quality, and operational quality processes
• Drive risk management, preventive quality initiatives, and escalation management
• Lead structured problem-solving and corrective action programs
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality performance

• Lead and develop global quality teams and laboratory functions
• Build organizational capability and succession plans
• Coach and mentor managers and quality professionals
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams

• Deploy Lean, Six Sigma, and best-practice quality methodologies
• Drive operational excellence initiatives across the organization
• Support strategic business transformation and technology development projects
• Promote data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring

• Master's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 10 years of quality leadership experience within the semiconductor industry
• Proven experience leading global quality organizations in complex international environments
• Strong expertise in:

  • Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP)
  • AEC-Q standards
  • VDA methodologies
  • A-SPICE
  • 8D Problem Solving
  • Risk Management
  • Audit methodologies (ISO 19011, VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5)
• Strong background in product quality, customer quality, supplier quality, and quality management systems
• Solid understanding of semiconductor development, qualification, manufacturing, and supply chain environments
• Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing expertise are strong advantages

Location & Travel:
Based in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Occasional international travel to Prague and Bangkok will be required.
