Do you want to join Philip Morris? We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician – Exploratory Analytical Chemistry Laboratory.

YOUR DAILY TASKS

Perform autonomously laboratory tests to generate accurate, high‑quality data supporting exploratory analyses, special projects, and/or proficiency test studies. Execute analyses using GC or LC technologies coupled to MS or MS/MS for targeted investigations.

Ensure sufficient quantities of supplies for continuous laboratory operation. Maintain and troubleshoot medium to high complexity laboratory equipment.

Proactively interact with all stakeholders to provide updates and technical expertise when required.

Author work instructions and train colleagues on analytical techniques and laboratory procedures.

Adhere to all EHS rules, policies and procedures.

Perform and lead project activities of medium scope and complexity within the specialized field. Suggest improvements for methods, processes, products, systems, materials, and/or equipment.

Carry out all of the activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders, and apply adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Education

CFC in technical area, analytical chemistry or equivalent.
If the required certification is not present, the incumbent is having the proper knowledge and is able to fulfill the technical competencies for this position.

Work experience

5‑7 years of experience in analytical chemistry or equivalent skills through demonstrated experience/education.
Hands‑on expertise in GC‑MS/MS and LC‑MS/MS techniques is required.
Knowledge of method development principles and practices is required.

Other skills

Proficiency in both French and English.
