Job Goal: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an environment that prepares students for lives as informed and engaged citizens in a global society.
Description: K-5 Special Education Teacher at J.G. Johnson ES.
183 days, 7.0 hours per day.
Funding Source:
Special Education Fund.
Salary Range: $51,323 – $103,407.
Start Date:
2025‑2026 school year.
Successful candidate must complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre‑employment drug & alcohol testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Nevada Teaching License*
- Valid Nevada Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required for physical education, special education, and career & technical education teaching assignments
Working Conditions: Suitable workspace to carry out functions of the position description.
