Senior Designer/Drafter CADD Operator - MSTS, Mercury NV
Duration: 6 Months with two (2) Renewal Options
One (1) Position Available!
US Citizenship Required
hybrid position with potential to report to Mercury
JOB SUMMARY
This position is to provide support to the Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power comprised of transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV. Support to include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches.
Additional support will include locating, updating, and developing new drawings or updating existing drawings to address a backlog in configuration management needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
CADD IV- 10 years High School & Tech Training
Education/Experience Substitutions:
1. Education – An Associate’s degree will substitute for 1-year experience and a Bachelor’s degree will substitute for 3-years’ experience.
Experience/
Skills:
A general knowledge of system testing and operations is helpful to ensure system turnover scope is adequate in regard to pre-operational testing.
Leadership training in methods improvement is desirable.
Electrical design, power transmission and distribution experience, with substations or the drawing design/construction of distribution lines.
High voltage drafting experience, 4860V and up.
