Responsibilities- Oversee the predictive maintenance program and create engineered solutions to complex equipment problems
- Implement various operational and maintenance alternatives to leverage cost-savings and meet internal/external customer demands for timely repairs of process equipment
- Identify and set priorities on opportunities for reliability improvement using mining information and reliability databases
- Statistically analyze equipment and performance to assess reliability, maintainability, and availability
- Provide training and facilitation on RCA, FMEA, and RCM with maintenance and operations personnel
- Manage capital projects team and multi‑million‑dollar budget to improve reliability, maintainability, and operational ability
- Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, standards, and specifications focused on sustaining a reliability culture
- Cultivate productive partnerships with key vendors/OEMs that drive improvement in equipment
- Maintain and validate downtime reporting databases and KPI’s
- Identify, scope, and evaluate reliability improvement projects
- Drive continuous improvement in the maintenance division and help foster the culture to ensure its longevity
- Coordinate plant equipment improvement trials, including technical input, tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the Management of Change policy
- Develop and maintain the critical spares requirements catalogue
- Provide technical support and supervision for shutdowns and breakdowns as required
- Collaborate with OEMs to adopt technologies and practices that improve equipment performance and reliability
- Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies for critical plant equipment
- Respond to a variety of internal and external requests
- Lead self and others in daily assignments and special projects, working collaboratively to reach operational goals
- Recommend changes to policies, processes, standards, and practices that would improve operational support
- Deliver larger project work streams, managing project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodology
- Follow HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify risky behaviors and take appropriate action
- Ensure HS&E procedures are in place and followed by subordinates
- Define clear objectives and expectations of direct reports, evaluate performance, provide feedback on career growth, and encourage innovative thinking and process improvement
- Develop own capabilities by pursuing assessment and development planning activities and formal/informal training and coaching; maintain relevant professional accreditation where appropriate
- Demonstrated safety leadership capability for self and team
- Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience in a reliability role
- Two (2) years practical experience in operations, preferably in a mobile maintenance mining environment
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of reliability and improvement concepts: RCA, FMEA, RCM, LEAN
- Experience with CMMS and condition monitoring techniques such as oil and vibration analysis, thermography, and/or ultrasonic emissions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Certified Plant Maintenance Manager preferred
