DevOps Consultant Puppet

Sonsoft, Inc. is a USA-based corporation duly organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Georgia. Sonsoft Inc. specializes in Software Development, Software Consultancy, and Information Technology Enabled Services.

We are seeking candidates with strong experience in automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, or equivalent tools. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Puppet, including its declarative language for specifying system configuration in manifests, managing complex resource dependencies, and understanding Puppet’s architecture, including the split Puppet Master architecture. Proven configuration management skills and experience maintaining large clusters with tools such as Puppet or Chef are required.

Strong practical skills in Linux and Windows system administration within cloud or virtualized environments are essential.

Experience in operating highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions. Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby. Familiarity with revision control systems like Git or SVN. Ability to collaborate with development teams to identify and implement automation solutions. Knowledge of distributed and enterprise applications is a plus. Deep understanding of web, database, and OS server configurations (Linux, Apache, MySQL preferred).

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
