Amentum is seeking a Storage Planner to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Storage Planner prepares, implements and maintains the Depot Master Storage Plan, coordinates and schedules carrier appointments for all incoming materials, assigns proper storage locations, observes and audits storage sites, and ensures compliance with the Master Storage Plan.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Typical Responsibilities- Coordinates a space-maximum initiative at Hawthorne Army Depot, prepares, implements, and maintains the Depot Master Storage Plan, and coordinates receipts, issues, and inter-plant movements of munitions.
- Analyzes complex problems or evaluates technical data and plans and coordinates special projects including Operation Patriot Bandaleer, Retrogrades, etc.
- Prepares and ensures implementation of the Hawthorne Army Depot Master Storage Plan.
- Prepares and submits billing tonnage reports for all shipping, receiving, and storage activities; compiles and presents various reports for all Supply Depot Operations activities, maintaining proper records of movement.
- Coordinates, schedules, and confirms carrier appointments for all incoming materials; assigns proper storage locations; observes and audits storage sites and processes to ensure compliance with the Master Storage Plan.
- Identifies, tracks and researches material discrepancies, provides solutions to mitigate discrepancies, and assists the Traffic Management division with daily activities as needed.
- Facilitates proper movement of materials in accordance with DoD, State, and Federal regulations and the Master Storage Plan.
- Upholds company values (Safety, Diversity, Integrity and Success), performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty as assigned, maintains high ethical standards, and cooperates during company investigations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of Storage Munitions Handler or related depot operations experience with appropriate data input/clerical skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain LMP training and certifications required for specific Functional Security Roles (FSRs); must acquire Ammo Ops certification as needed.
- Must be well‑versed in ammunition depot automated processes applicable to storage and supply (bin‑to‑bin, shipping, receiving, restow, etc.).
- Must have working knowledge of storage practice compliance and expectations.
- Must be computer literate in common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to input data, conduct research, and type reports.
- Must be willing and able to be at work when scheduled, maintain a good attendance record, and be willing to work overtime, varying hours, and/or rotating shifts.
- Must be willing and able to work in an environmental and safety‑compliant environment.
- Must wear various levels of personal protective equipment, including safety hat, shoes, gloves, and glasses.
- Must have sufficient skills in mathematics and general office procedures.
- Must communicate professionally and effectively in English, including written and verbal business communication.
- Must perform work duties routinely, safely, and remain alert to potential hazards at all times.
- Must maintain fitness‑for‑duty standards for all essential functions, including driving and emergency requirements.
- Must maintain a valid State of Nevada driver’s license and pass an MVR check with a clean record.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
This position is designated as non‑safety sensitive but is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program.
