• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with a focus on accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with all local, state, and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain a professional image through personal appearance, conduct, and the physical condition of the pharmacy. Adhere to pharmacy standards and enforce company dress standards.
• Acquire thorough knowledge of the trade area, its customers, and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through strong service, friendliness, and cooperation with customers, associates, and vendors.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, policies/procedures, record keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, equipment operation, pricing, planograms, returns, budgets, reports, and product recalls per company policy.
• Maintain proper records, inventory, and security on all scheduled drugs (e.g., controlled substances).
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources.
• Utilize all accuracy tools, including the accuracy scanner and 24-hour post dispensing audit report.
• Establish and maintain record‑keeping practices necessary for legal compliance, Kroger policies, accounting policies, and required reports.
• Maintain a clean, neat work area, including counters, shelves, floors, and customer counter to present a professional, sanitary image.
• Handle all product returns promptly and per company policy.
• Maintain and repair equipment (computers, printers, scanners, cash registers) to ensure working condition.
• Keep all policy manuals, reference books, state laws, and required equipment organized and verify that all staff knows their use.
• Maintain proper signage throughout the pharmacy.
• Continuously broaden personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• One year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
