Senior System Engineer

Summary/Objective:
The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining/implementing effective and efficient infrastructure necessary to facilitate the needs of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, LDAP (Active Directory), Email (Exchange), Cloud based infrastructure (Microsoft/Office 365), Asset Management, server/client OS and third-party application patching.

• Design, configure, and implement Microsoft-based systems and solutions.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Provide technical support for Microsoft-based systems, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security management.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure successful integration of Microsoft technologies with other systems and applications.
• Conduct research on emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the organization's infrastructure and systems.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Microsoft-based systems and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to Microsoft technologies.
• Provides technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by manager.

The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.

• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft-based systems and solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Microsoft/Office 365, Power Shell
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are vital as this person will be interacting with many departments within the business.
• Microsoft certifications, such as MCSA or MCSE, are preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
