: 3rd Sunday – Thursday, 11pm – 7:30am
(Training: days 6-8 months, Mon – Fri 7am – 3:30pm)
Job Summary and Mission:
The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating Mazak mills, Mikino sinkers, Fanuc Robocut wire, and/or Okuma/Hwacheon lathes, as well as manual machines including lathes. The role involves producing precision parts to specifications, ensuring efficient machine operation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as Mazak mills, Mikino sinkers, wire, and/or Okuma/Hwacheon for tasks like drilling, grinding, and milling. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations.
- Program and adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tool changes) for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to keep them in good working condition.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining issues and optimize processes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Work safely and understand all safety procedures.
- Follow control plans, ensuring products are processed and inspected according to routings and specifications, with correct quantity and style.
- Meet daily departmental production goals.
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors and team members across shifts.
Physical Demands:
- Work environment with controlled temperatures and dust/mist collection systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Capable of walking, bending, stooping, and lifting/carrying up to 33 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and handling tools.
- Work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise.
- Wear PPE as required, including safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal protection, anti-slip soles, cut-resistant gloves, and other PPE as necessary.
