The Plating Maintenance Technician is responsible for the continuous operation of all plating strip lines and barrel lines and also assists with the water treatment system.

• Support global plating operations with a high level of integrity, maintaining the plating strip lines and barrel lines.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance daily on plating lines and support equipment, documenting findings in the maintenance work order system and following up on open issues.
• Monitor preventative maintenance tasks performed by production operators and assist as required.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of production equipment, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
• Maintain special tooling by cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and restocking as required.
• Assist the environmental manager in monitoring and maintaining the wastewater treatment system operation. Ensure that all waste bi-products are drummed, labeled, and properly stored as required by law.
• Fabricate tooling and spare parts as needed to support plating operations.
• Additional tasks may be assigned based on strengths and capabilities.
• Additional requirements may be needed based on the facility in which this is located.

• 5+ years’ experience in a technical or technician role in a large-volume manufacturing environment.
• Electrical experience is a must.
• Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs is preferred.
• Lifting requirements:
  Must lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and work with heavy drums of chemicals using a drum dolly.
• Hazards and atmospheric conditions:
  Exposure to chemicals and sound; must wear required safety gear.
• Must be a self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work independently and learn quickly.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year or 4-year electrical or mechanical engineering/technical degree is preferred.
• Experience can be used to supplement or replace educational requirements.
