Therapist‑Speech I PRN

Join Baptist Memorial Health Care as a Therapist‑Speech I PRN.

Evaluates and assesses patients to establish functional, measurable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities. Provides treatment according to a written plan of care to meet established goals. Plans for discharge and communicates findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and departmental/discipline policies and procedures. Produces other reports as needed. May supervise clinical students and support staff including certified/licensed assistants, technicians, and volunteers.

Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Evaluates and assesses the patient based on subjective and objective information.
• Communicates results of the evaluation to patient and other caregivers.
• Provides treatment according to established goals on plan of care.
• Documents interventions/care in the patient’s medical record.
• Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care and reassesses patient’s functional status as needed.
• Provides discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow‑up, and referral to community resources.
• Contributes to the development of staff and students.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Completes assigned goals.

• Minimum
  
  Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited SLP Program.

• Minimum
  
  Required:
  
  Basic computer literacy skills such as keyboarding, using a mouse, and navigating sites.

• Preferred/Desired: SLP‑CCC.
• Minimum

  SLP; BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
