Seasonal Business Tax Associate
Intuit is seeking a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience to support customers using Intuit Turbo Tax Business products. The role focuses on preparing complex business tax returns, providing guidance, and ensuring a superior customer experience.
OverviewAs part of Intuit’s mission to Power Prosperity Around the World, you will advance our goal by delivering expert tax guidance and shaping the development of Turbo Tax Live Business. This is a virtual, customer‑facing role using Smartlook video communications.
What You Will Do- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and provide accurate answers.
- Interact with customers via Smartlook for full‑service return preparation, tax calculations, and product inquiries.
- Offer tax advice and full service business return preparation, including signatures.
- Assist with filing tax extensions.
- Create high‑quality customer interactions that instill confidence using empathy and in‑depth knowledge.
- Apply established practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax advice and return preparation issues.
- Document all customer interactions.
- Meet company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax software.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred.
- Possess or be willing to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills—interact professionally, friendly, and confidently via video and audio tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.

In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with Intuit’s applicable plans and programs. Pay is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, and Intuit conducts regular pay equity reviews across categories of ethnicity and gender.
