Client Transmission Procurement is responsible for working in conjunction with the business unit in service of negotiating and writing contracts with outside vendors for new Transmission projects (transmission lines, service stations, etc).
Position SummaryWe are looking for support in the administrative details of maintaining projects and managing contracts. This will primarily consist of data submission/organization, document conformance, and general procurement team support.
Core Job Functions- Update, maintain, and index project records and files.
- Document creation utilizing client procedures and templates.
- Document upload and data revision to client web resources.
- Communication management between Business Unit Project Managers and the Procurement team.
- Self sufficient completion of tasks
- General computer competency and ability to work across disparate online platforms
- Microsoft office suite (excel, word, outlook, etc)
- Cross discipline communication skills
- Self-sufficient organization style
- Basic understanding of contracting process or construction a plus, but not required
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing administrative support duties within the assigned area.
Responsibilities are specific to the organizational unit (i.e. region, district, department, plant, etc.).
Essential Job Functions & TasksMajor responsibilities: under immediate supervision, perform basic administrative duties, following well-defined, standard procedures; prepare documents, reports, and spreadsheets, etc. as needed to support the business unit. Maintain files and calendars as needed. Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power point as well as other department software/systems as needed.
Communication and interpersonal skills: listens to and understands written and verbal instruction, communicates effectively with co-workers and other employees and customers. Work effectively and productively with others; actively helps others with assignments as necessary to maintain department productivity.
Customer focus: answer customer questions; refer questions to others as needed; actively learns the function of the department to assist customers more effectively; exhibits concern and sensitivity to others.
Problem solving and initiative: applies basic education and training in job responsibilities and assignments; asks questions when unsure of how to handle an assignment and demonstrates ability and initiative to handle assignments beyond the routine.
Minimum RequirementsEducation requirements are listed below:
High school or GED.
Work Experience requirement listed below:
Six-nine months of post-high school experience in learning and utilizing administrative office procedures, practices and equipment (i.e. business English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, letter writing, telephone technique) desirable.
Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Displays good analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with computers and the use of office-oriented software products.
Other RequirementsPhysical demand level is Sedentary.
