Job DescriptionThe Senior Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager of Process Development. This role requires applying advanced engineering and scientific principles to support GMP Final Drug Product (FDP) operations at the Ohio facility.
Key Responsibilities- Support development and implementation of automated and semi-automated combination product assembly equipment.
- Manage and apply technical expertise in the assembly of combination products, including characterization, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Apply engineering principles to process optimization, scale-up, and manufacturing support projects.
Support technical transfer of the client’s product portfolio to AOH and provide technical operations support for device assembly and packaging line improvements.
Technical LeadAct as the site technical expert for device assembly, leading commissioning, qualification, and validation of GMP equipment.
Operational ExcellenceSupport productivity and capacity improvements through process analysis and design.
RelationshipsBuild a network of FDP expertise across the client’s operations for troubleshooting and process improvements.
Must Have Skills- Knowledge of combination product assembly equipment and testing.
- Experience with GMP process equipment design, testing, and validation.
Support assembly equipment initiatives, manage technical expertise, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Basic Qualifications- Master’s degree with 2+ years or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in GMP environment.
- Experience with combination product assembly equipment and testing.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and project leadership skills.
- Experience with device manufacturing, GMP equipment suppliers, and working in regulated industries.
Position is open due to planned projects. No packaging/medical device experience is a red flag if the candidate has other relevant skills.
