Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a SCADA Analyst to support our client in New Albany, Ohio. This onsite role supports critical systems that monitor and control the electric distribution and transmission grid.
Position Details- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Overtime: As needed
- Travel: ~5% (primarily for meetings in Gahanna)
- Work Setting: Onsite, 5 days per week
The SCADA Analyst provides technical support for Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems used in Distribution and Transmission Operations. This role requires adaptability, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous system improvement.
Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain DMS/EMS/SCADA systems and related technical infrastructure. Key duties include:
Providing guidance and support to less experienced analysts.
- Training junior analysts on tools, equipment, and software.
- Ensuring reliable operation of DMS/EMS/SCADA systems.
- Improving system performance, reliability, and data quality.
- Maintaining real‑time data interfaces.
- Developing and enhancing DMS/EMS/SCADA tools and software.
- Keeping system tools and technologies up to date.
- Building and maintaining custom online one‑line displays.
- Modeling, testing, and commissioning RTUs.
- Building and maintaining system models.
- Recommending and defining internal DMS/EMS/SCADA standards.
- Supporting Human Performance Initiative requirements and SCADA‑related KPIs.
Assist Protection & Control Engineering (PCE) with SCADA standards, troubleshooting, and project support. Scoping small to medium SCADA projects with limited supervision.
- Identifying process or tool issues and recommending improvements.
- Completing complex RPA tasks and RTU configurations (legacy and modern systems).
- Expanding knowledge of communication technologies (async, sync, etc.).
- Supporting stakeholders with common SCADA‑related issues.
- Completing alarm and basic I/O settings for greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Implementing standards with limited guidance.
- Assisting senior staff with SCADA compliance items.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field.

- High school diploma + two years of related military or electric utility technical experience.
- OR
- Bachelor’s degree + one year of DMS/EMS/SCADA experience (may qualify for this level).
- 3 years DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with an associate degree.
- 5 years experience with a high school diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree holders must also meet the DMS/EMS/SCADA experience requirements.

- Strong understanding of operational practices related to supported equipment and software.
- Excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with SCADA systems (required).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Willingness to provide after‑hours EMS/SCADA support.
- Ability to learn and apply the client’s current technologies.
- Basic understanding of Protection & Control applications and their impact on SCADA.
- Willingness to learn substation equipment with guidance from senior team members.
