CTL Engineering is a full‑service consulting engineering firm with 15 locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC, and VA. We provide civil/site design, land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, transportation design, and specialized testing services. We are looking for a Civil/Site Design Project Engineer who will play a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of site civil design/development projects for our clients, collaborating closely with institutions and municipal agencies.

• Participate in all aspects of Civil/Site Development Design projects:
  • Work with Project Managers to develop data, complete technical analysis, and prepare permitting and construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans.
  • Develop concept, layout, preliminary and final engineering plans.
  • Develop erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Design utility and utility relocation plans.
  • Assist with creating permit applications.
• Complete site layout, utility and grading plans, storm‑water analyses and reports, and site development permits.
• Perform civil engineering analyses and numerical analysis using various computer software programs; determine hydrology, develop hydraulic/drainage and storm‑water calculations, SWPPPs, and obtain NDPES permits.
• Participate in hands‑on field observation & inspection of construction activities.
• Communicate with clients on deliverables.
• Assist with developing project proposals and engineers' construction cost estimates.
• Assist with developing, managing schedules, budgets, and quality of work.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and reporting.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D for various Civil/Site Design projects.
• Good customer service skills, high professionalism, and comfort with client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and remain quality‑focused.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player.

• Quality‑minded and client‑focused.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Internship/coursework experience in Civil/Site Design is a strong plus.
• EIT/EI is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
