Equipment Maintenance Technician - New Albany, OH

Full-time, 12‑hour night shift rotation

Role OverviewAs an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will provide technical engineering support for process equipment, ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory, and FDA standards. You will collaborate across engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations teams to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment performance in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate technical support on engineering, regulatory, compliance, quality, microbial/environmental, technical cleaning, validation, and mechanical equipment issues.
- Assist during regulatory agency inspections and provide technical support to FDA and other agencies.
- Perform advanced maintenance activities and monitor sophisticated plant support equipment per CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and job plans.
- Investigate complex equipment issues under the mentorship of experienced staff.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date spare parts inventory system.
- Evaluate current maintenance procedures and recommend program optimizations.
- Interpret and review utility, process system/equipment, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural drawings, and P&IDs.
- Support operations during non‑standard shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High School/GED (minimum education required).
- Either:
Bachelor’s degree
, or- Associate’s degree and 4 years of technical engineering experience, or
- High school diploma / GED and 6 years of technical engineering experience.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, packaging equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of PLC, computer serialization, packaging equipment, vision inspection systems (Cognex Vision System, Systech Serialization).
- Excellent organizational, project management, problem‑solving, and technical writing capability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; collaboration, influencing, and facilitation.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Salary Range: $78,397 – $90,200 USD (annual)
