Data Center Technician

Join a rapidly expanding team supporting the hardware infrastructure behind cutting-edge cloud computing technologies. As a Data Center Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing server and network hardware.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and decommission hardware, network, and server systems
• Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware and software
• Perform network installations including Ethernet and VoIP systems
• Conduct equipment repairs and resolve issues as they arise
• Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks
• Work with Cisco routers and other networking equipment
• Conduct fiber splicing and manage fiber optic connections
• Provide field service support for data center operations
• Adhere to safety codes and standards

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with Computer Hardware
• 1+ year of experience with Computer Networking
• 1+ year of experience with Linux Operating Systems
• Quickly and accurately resolve issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis with a solid understanding of computers, servers, network devices and command line diagnostics.
• Must possess technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical information with a variety of individuals of varying technical knowledge
• Capability to contribute to strong inter and intra-team development
• Strong analytical skills, demonstrated problem solving ability, and the ability to operate solo or as part of a team with varying degrees of supervision.
• Ability to successfully operate in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations while handling multiple critical priorities simultaneously. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate effective examples of situations where personal initiative and judgment were used to benefit team objectives.
