Description: Registered Nurse (RN)

Position

Purpose:

The Registered Nurse, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an environment sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in the spirit of teamwork, is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

What You Will Do
  • Provide nursing care, ensure an environment of patient safety, promote evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibit professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® model.
  • Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence‑based practice. Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components.
  • Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner. Keep patients/families apprised and updated.
  • Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate from a school of nursing.
  • Licensure / Certification:
    Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • For Casual RNs: 2 years of experience is required.
  • All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience are subject to participate and will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
