Access Control Security Officer

Secure a construction site with physical security, which requires managing a guard shack, possessing great customer service skills, conducting tours, and performing patrols.

Securitas is hiring reliable and professional Security Officers to help protect people, property, and assets at our client sites. This role is ideal for someone who is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment.

Monitor premises to prevent and detect security issues

Control access to the site by checking IDs, badges, and visitor logs

Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle as required

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a professional manner

Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports

Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients

Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and procedures

Prior security experience preferred but not required

Customer service or public-facing experience is a plus

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.

• May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county and municipal license for Security Officers.
• Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
• Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
• Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Courteous telephone manner.
