Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility for the maintenance technician is to oversee the upkeep of all facilities including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, compressors, roof, fire suppression systems, and more.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities- Will need a comprehensive knowledge of safety rules, manufacturer recommendations, OSHA regulations and general work safety practices. Understand and follow without exception PPE requirements, safe electrical practices, Energy Isolation procedures, HMIS, and other plant safety requirements.
- Upkeep HVAC Systems conducting inspections, replacing filters, cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork as necessary.
- Maintain electrical panels, wiring, testing outlets and switches
- Maintain and optimize plumbing including checking for leaks, clearing drains, inspecting fixtures and making repairs
- Maintain compressors and monitor pressure and temperatures
- Inspect building for structural damage and ensure walls, floors, paint, handrails, pathways, windows, and doors are in good condition. Ensure physical structures are regularly cleaned and debris is cleared.
- Oversee fire suppression system maintenance including alarm tests and fire extinguisher checks
- Maintain bins, compactors, and balers ensuring they are clear/clean.
- Inspect ladders, eyewash stations, and cranes
- Performance seasonal maintenance tasks including managing snow removal, HVAC seasonal maintenance...etc.
- Support contractor visits for routine facilities inspections
