Description
Pull, dress, and label cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) according to TIA/EIA standards. Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance. Assist in labeling and cable identification. Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks. Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) under supervision. Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic handling.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors.
Schedule and Location on‑Fri, 1st shift and 2nd Shift; OT and Saturday work may be required.Location:
New Albany, OH. Responsibilities
- Pull, dress, and label cabling according to TIA/EIA standards.
- Terminations and punch-downs for telecom blocks.
- Cable testing with Fluke, EXFO tools.
- Support fiber cable dressing.
- Maintain safety and organization.
- Entry level – no prior fiber experience required.
- Construction experience beneficial.
- Termination/punchdown skill.
- Has not worked in the META center in last 6 months.
Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay And Benefits$22.00 - $28.00/hr benefits include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO.
