Hours: 24 flex 32hrs
Shift: Day shift, 7:45am - 4:30pm
Location:
St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
Position reports to Manager, Wound Care Center or designee. Perform a variety of clinic duties related to providing assistance to nursing staff in carrying out wound care treatments and medical office tasks related to ongoing department functions.
Requirements- Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent is required.
- Must have successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant/Aide program.
- Current certification in one of the following:
Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant is required. - BLS certification is required.
- National third‑party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire.
- A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred.
- Prior experience with an electronic medical record and/or health-related computer software is preferred.
- Customer service experience or training preferred.
- Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement by signing a statement certifying exemption.
