Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 3:00pm – 11:30pm
Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Under general supervision of the Central Processing Manager or designee, perform duties to support the Central Processing Department:

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and endoscopes
• Prepare, sterilize and package surgical instruments
• Assemble case carts for surgical procedures
• Decontaminate equipment as assigned and distribute medical and surgical supplies
• Maintain proper documentation and perform other duties within the scope of the position

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification required within 1 year of acceptance
• Working knowledge of sterilization procedures, equipment management and case cart assembly preferred
• Computer experience required; MSM and Meditech preferred
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy essential
• Excellent communication, record keeping and documentation skills required
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID‑19 or exempt by signing a statement certifying exemption
• Compensation will be determined based on level of experience

USD $18.88 – USD $30.84 per hour.
