We are searching for a talented Interpreter - III Languages

Hours: 32 hours

Shift: 11:30 p.m.

- 7:30 a.m., Night shift with weekends and holiday rotation

** Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Position reports to the Manager, Interpreter Services or designee. Provide coverage on-site for Interpreter Services as requested. Provide accurate consecutive interpretation. Develop a rhythm of interpretation to enhance the flow of communication between parties. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of encounters.

• Associate
  * s Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a related field is required.
• Training in medical terminology
• Interpersonal skills appropriate for handling sensitive patient and/or employee issues.
• Fluency in four (4) languages required, including English and three (3) assigned languages
  • Cape Verdean Creole
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
• One (1) year related experience preferred.
• Certificate of completion of a 60 hour Medical Interpreter Training program
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

USD $18.54 - USD $31.20 /Hr.
