Registered Nurse (RN) – Southcoast Health

Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA (PACU)

Hours: 32 hrs per week, day/evening shift with alternating weekend/holiday on‑call rotation; variable start time.

Sign‑on bonus: Up to $12,000 depending on experience (see details below).

• $12,000 sign‑on with 3+ years of specialty nursing experience.
• $9,600 sign‑on with 1+ years of specialty nursing experience.
• $8,000 sign‑on with less than 1 year of specialty nursing experience or 1+ years of hospital RN experience.
• Must be a new hire or a re‑hire greater than one year to be eligible.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designated unit personnel, perform a variety of duties including coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Provide appropriate care for patients of all age groups served.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or be exempt by signing a written statement for medical or personal reasons.

Pay Range: USD $40.74 – $74.81 per hour.
