RN – Med/Surg‑Neuro

Southcoast Health, a not‑for‑profit health system with multiple hospitals throughout Southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is seeking a talented RN for its Med/Surg‑neuro unit e’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA.

Hours:

36 hrs per week. Shift: Evening/Night, 7:15 pm – 7:15 am with weekend and holiday rotation.

Unit: 36‑bed Medical/Surgical unit specializing in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Level 2 Trauma. Telemetry monitoring for up to 26 patients. Patient population includes those undergoing vascular surgery, thoracic and general surgery.

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or unit designee, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within the assigned patient care unit.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Three (3) months experience preferred
• Step‑down training within 3 months of hire
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 or be exempt with medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying exemption

Pay rate: USD $40.74 – $74.81 per hour, based on level of experience.
